Thank you Ad in Tri City Herald! KGH Foundation Golf Tournament Raises over $50,000!! The 11th Annual KGH Foundation Golf Classic was held Monday, June 7th at Meadow Springs Country Club in Richland. The course was filled with 196 golfers on 49 teams and more than 50 volunteers serving their community – and supporting Kennewick General Hospital. Net income from this year’s event was over $52,000, keeping consistent with the success of this event in years past. Major sponsors were IKON, Western States Insurance, Copiers Northwest, Key Bank, Mid-Columbia Urology, PKA Architects, and Wildhorse Resort and Casino. Silver level sponsors included Amerinet, Cadwell Laboratories, MSA, Surgical Information Systems and Washington Collectors. The volunteer crew of dedicated individuals worked throughout the day to ensure the success of the tournament. The Foundation’s golf tournament raises funds through sponsorships, raffles, course games and an auction. As part of the event’s fundraising effort, a raffle for a 46” flat screen TV was conducted. This raffle item alone produces over $4,000 every year to the Foundation’s effort in supporting the hospital. Western States Insurance won first place gross in the golf tournament with a score of 54, while Larson Transfer took second place and Davis, Wright, Tremaine, PLLC placed third. Funds generated at this year’s tournament will directly benefit KGH’s Emergency Department with the purchase of a portable ultrasound monitor in addition to ongoing programs and services that enhance patient care at Kennewick General Hospital.
